Michael Simelton didn't start his career in a boardroom. He started on the plant floor, in the field, and in the middle of some of the most complex energy and infrastructure projects in the country. Over 18 years he worked his way from manufacturing engineer to Senior PMO Leader — managing portfolios worth over $1B across Fortune 100 organizations including Exelon, Constellation Energy, Ameren, and CHEP.

He's built PMOs from scratch, rescued projects bleeding money, led teams of up to 100 people, and managed capital programs spanning multiple states and ISOs. He's also led a first-of-its-kind supercritical CO₂ power plant startup, developed a $200M tax credit strategy, and driven a 25% productivity improvement across a Fortune 500 supply chain — all while maintaining zero OSHA recordables on operational sites.

He founded Cornerstone PMO because too many organizations are running critical projects on broken systems — no governance, no real oversight, no accountability. He built this firm to fix that. Every engagement is hands-on, direct, and grounded in the same methodology that delivered results at the highest levels of American industry.
